Three friends opened Banh Banh on a simple conviction: Copenhagen deserved better bánh mì. After building a following in City Center, they brought the concept to Frederiksberg last month. The larger location adds an open kitchen to the same restless curiosity that refuses to stop at Vietnam’s borders.

Crisp pork belly gets sweet chili and Banh Banh sauce. Char siu chicken meets satay sauce. Lemongrass brightens tender beef. Pork satay leans into Thai red curry, while fried tofu keeps things plant-based. Choose your filling, then choose its form: either tucked into a freshly baked baguette with pickled carrot and daikon, red cabbage, cucumber, scallions, peanuts, and cilantro or served over rice noodles dressed with soy and vinegar, pickled vegetables, bean sprouts, cilantro, and peanuts.
