In 2017, siblings Juan, Ana Karina, and Hans Alvarez realized their dream of opening a place with the food they craved from home. Back then, tacos were just starting to spice up the Copenhagen food scene, and while many places have popped up since, Pastor remains one of the most authentic. They import seven kinds of chiles directly from Mexico, the interior bursts with vibrant colors, and they hide the cutlery to encourage you to eat with your hands. If you really lean into the Mexican way of life, you’ll soon be eating tacos 3-4 times per week.

WHAT YOU GET

Enjoy four tacos + guacamole at Pastor Tacos. The tacos come in sets of two, and you can choose from all tacos on the menu. Take a seat and eat everything fresh from the plancha or grab your order to go. Go for Pastor tacos with juicy pork, marinated in over 15 spices and aromatics, and topped with grilled pineapple. Devour Carne Asada tacos with grilled Black Angus beef and Salsa Roja. Choose Pollo tacos with tinga-style pulled chicken cooked in a stew of chipotle peppers, tomatoes, and onions. Opt for Portobello tacos with sautéed mushrooms and onions, salsa verde, and toasted pumpkin seeds. Taste vegetarian Papa tacos, Rajas con Nopales tacos, and more. All tacos come with optional garnishes of finely chopped onions, coriander, and fresh lime. Top them off with freshly made guacamole seasoned with salsa verde and lime juice.
