Pick whatever you like at Wild Horses – A stand-out café in Sydhavnen with an awesome Aussie approach to coffee and craveable eats
The atmosphere is laid-back, the walls are accented with local art, and the food and coffee are so good that you’ll find yourself returning to the bar for a second round. Australian owner Dane Hirsinger has a warmth about him that is contagious, and he loves to encourage cross-pollination among fellow coffee aficionados, local creatives, and anyone else who stops by. So, strike up a conversation with your neighbor, listen to great vinyl music, and order yet another ‘cuppa’. Wild Horses is the ideal spot to sip, snack, and socialize in Sydhavnen, and with 5 out of 6 hearts from Politiken, the proof is in the pudding – or rather, the perfect grilled sandwiches, housemade granola, and more.

Good coffee, good snacks, good wibes. And no, that last part is not a typo. Dane Hirsinger may not be from Denmark, but he’s quickly picked up on the quirks of Danish pronunciation. After working in specialty coffee for over 20 years in his homeland of Australia as well as London and Berlin, he made the move to Copenhagen and opened the doors to Wild Horses in 2022. Thanks to his simple Aussie approach and vast network of small coffee roasters that supply the café with beans, this place stands out even among the sea of great spots in the city.
