8-course menu at Dolores – Former fine dining chef Oliver Lerche brings a taste of San Francisco's Mission District to Carlsberg Byen

Chef Oliver Lerche cooked in some of France’s top fine dining restaurants for several years before returning to Denmark to co-lead the kitchen at Dragsholm Slot. Now, he is creating an everyday luxury experience in the heart of Carlsberg Byen together with the LOCA Group, which is behind renowned restaurants such as Studio and Radio. At the newly opened Dolores, impeccable ingredients are at the crux of it all, but they aren’t served on white tablecloths. This is a place where high-quality cuisine meets low-key comfort in an airy, colorful space. Cozy up inside with a view of the open kitchen or grab a seat in the sunny courtyard and let their team take you on an exciting culinary journey.

WHAT YOU GET

Enjoy an 8-course ‘Around the World’ menu at Dolores. The menu is chef’s choice, so dishes rotate regularly and reflect the best produce of the season. Taste oysters garnished with blood orange, pomegranate vinaigrette, and fresh red chili. Bite into saffron arancini stuffed with melty mozzarella. Savor crispy pork belly wontons with an aromatic sesame and soy dipping sauce. Get house-baked sourdough bread and single-estate Greek olive oil. Try fried cauliflower spiced with Vadouvan curry, then tuck into white asparagus with XO sauce, confit egg yolk, and red currants. Feast on pan-fried eggplant with harissa, black garlic, pistachios, and pomegranate seeds. For dessert, delight in pavlova with fresh Danish strawberries, mint, and chilled cream.

Dolores is a dream that has been nearly seven years in the making. First visualized by Merete Holst and Dorte Juhl Østergaard of the acclaimed restaurant group LOCA, it was finally brought to life in May of this year in collaboration with chef Oliver Lerche. Together with a diverse team, he develops season-driven menus inspired by the melting pot of cultures in San Francisco’s historic Mission District. From curating an extensive wine list and cooking everything from scratch to meticulously accounting for their CO2 emissions, they work diligently at Dolores to take care of every last detail.
