‘Halla Halla’ is a Danish adaptation of the Arabic slang for ‘Welcome’, and that’s exactly how you’ll feel when you enter this sunny spot in Christianshavn. Danish-Greek owner Christos Patsamanis dreamt of opening a place where he could add a nutritious twist to the shawarma he ate in his youth and learned to cook in Gaza Grill’s Palestinian kitchen. With many sources of inspiration and a whole lot of heart, he opened the doors to Halla Halla in 2021. The menu is full of fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients and an exciting fusion of Middle Eastern flavors, so it’s safe to say you’ll never get bored of their build-your-own pitas and bowls.
