If the story behind the opening of Carl Lagoni’s namesake café had to be summed up in song lyrics, ‘With a Little Help from My Friends’ by The Beatles would be the best tune. Carl was only 23 when he opened the doors to Lagoni & Co. last year, but he’d already spent over a decade working with coffee in his family’s popular coastal café, Lagoni Kaffebar. Together with a team of close friends, he’s created a social space just steps from the lakes where anyone and everyone can gather over top-notch coffee, homemade buns, sandwiches, draft beer, wine, and more. With floor-to-ceiling windows, comfy couches, and a deep sense of community, this café is as cozy as they come.

WHAT YOU GET

Pick whatever you like at Lagoni & Co. Devour a homemade bun served with butter and Gammel Knas cheese. Bite into a cinnamon swirl or tebirkes. If you’re in the mood for something spicy and sweet, have a buttery croissant layered with cheese, hot chili-infused honey, and serrano ham. Keep it classic with a chicken salad smørrebrød topped with pickled onions, or get a focaccia sandwich with goat cheese, spinach, and caramelized onions. Treat yourself to a romkugle or træstamme. To drink, sip on all sorts of espresso beverages – everything from lattes and flat whites to dirty chais – brewed with Lagoni’s signature coffee blend. Enjoy a kombucha from Folk, warm cup of Perchs Tea, or iced matcha latte. A little later in the day, grab a glass of wine and a snack such as Fangst sardines with rye bread.
