They began as a small hole-in-the-wall bar but they’ve always dared to do big things. Seemingly overnight they became one of the city’s most popular hangouts and the evolution has only continued. When they first opened in 2020, they served everything to-go from a window facing out onto Enghave Plads. Two years later, they opened a beautifully designed indoor space, and this past April, they added breakfast to the mix with Flere Fugle pastries and La Cabra coffee. At its core, Enghave Plads 9 is still the much-loved spot it’s always been, but now you can stop in anytime, morning or night, for good food and drinks, good company, and good Vesterbro vibes.

Pick whatever you like at Enghave Plads 9. Cozy up inside, find a spot to sit in the square, or take it all to go. Come by for breakfast and enjoy a croissant, cinnamon swirl, or cardamom bun from Flere Fugle. Bite into a buttered-up ‘BMO’ and drink coffee brewed with La Cabra beans – anything from espresso and filter coffee to flat whites and iced lattes. Try a grilled sandwich with Gammel Knas cheese, mustard-mayo, and smoked ham. Snack on chips from Lokale Rødder, marinated olives, or sourdough bread with Catalonian olive oil as you sip a glass of Domingo red vermouth. Friends, couples, and families with young children gather together here – sometimes hundreds or thousands at a time. This small spot brings tremendous life to Enghave Plads, where they regularly host jazz concerts, open mic nights, football watch parties, and more.
