WHAT YOU GET

Pick any two pizzas at Behov. Snag one of the few seats inside or take your order to go. Choose between classic, whole-grain, and gluten-free crust for your base. Opt for an Obelix with tomato sauce, mozzarella, wild boar sausage, walnuts, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Go for something spicy, like a Storm with red sauce, goat cheese, Calabrian ‘nduja, and eggplant, finished with fresh tomato and rucola. Bite into a Heldig Kartoffel with provola cheese, thinly sliced potatoes, rosemary, parmesan, and a drizzle of truffle oil. Feast on a Lunefuld with tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto cotto, black olives, and grilled artichokes. Or, taste a seasonal pizza with zucchini cream, smoked provola cheese, freshly grated parmesan, and basil.

The saying goes ‘If you build it, they will come’ and there’s no better example than Behov. In 2016, they opened on an unassuming corner in Nordvest with the simple mission of bringing better pizza to Copenhagen, and they definitely delivered. In their first year, the likes of Politiken and the White Guide – ‘the alternative Michelin guide’ – paid them high praise, and soon they were topping the lists of Denmark’s best pizza places. It wasn’t long before Vesterbro got a Behov location of its own on bustling Åboulevard. Fast forward to 2024 and these top-notch pizza spots are just as great as they’ve always been, if not even better.
