Inspired by Michelin-starred Kadeau, which has both a summer restaurant in Bornholm and a location here in Copenhagen, the team behind Arnfeldt is bringing a taste of their Ærø restaurant to Østerbro. While they secretly dream of a Michelin star of their own one day, Arnfeldt’s Copenhagen location is a bit more laid-back – though the chairs, plates, and pictures come directly from their island outpost. Step inside and allow yourself to be transported to a relaxed restaurant by the sea, where the couple behind it greets you personally. Here, French dishes accented with the flavors of Japan are brought to life with the season’s best produce, and the result is nothing short of exquisite.
WHAT YOU GET
Enjoy a 5-course menu at Arnfeldt in Østerbro. The menu is chef’s choice, so dishes rotate regularly and reflect the best produce of the season. Begin with Gigas oysters adorned with daikon radish and tosazu foam. Have Hiramasa King Fish crudo with ponzu and spicy kimchi. Feast on fried corn and shiso tempura with an aromatic bisque poured over top. Savor roasted rack of lamb served with a classic French jus and sauteéd seasonal vegetables. For dessert, indulge in rich chocolate ganache with olive oil, sea salt, and sesame crumble.

After several years at the Michelin-starred Sola in France, he masterfully blurs the lines between French, Japanese, and New Nordic culinary expressions.
