A hundred years ago, you might have stopped by this majestic building to simply send a letter, but today, the captivating experience that awaits you inside is a culinary treat. When Brasserie Post first opened last year, rave reviews rolled in from Politiken, Berlingske, and the White Guide, and like a fine wine, this restaurant has only gotten better with age. Here, chef Aaron Kaczmark, previously of Kødbyens Fiskebar, reimagines traditional French dishes using seasonal Nordic ingredients. With an art deco interior reminiscent of Paris or New York, Brasserie Post sets the tone for a classy meal any evening of the week. After all, exceptional everyday cuisine is timeless.
WHAT YOU GET
Enjoy a 5-course menu at Brasserie Post. The menu is chef’s choice, so dishes rotate regularly and reflect the best produce of the season. Begin with beef tartare served atop a crispy tartlet, garnished with green peppercorn emulsion and nasturtium leaves. Bite into housemade brioche topped with wild mushroom jam, crème fraîche, and pickled chanterelles. Taste hot smoked salmon with butter and egg yolk emulsion, trout roe, charred lemon dust, and fresh chervil. Savor grilled duck breast in Burgundy jus, accompanied by roasted Jerusalem artichoke pureé, frisée salad with pickled pear, and buttery pommes Anna with kumquat and lemon thyme. For dessert, delight in a fluffy clafoutis with sour cherries, slivered almonds, and jasmine tea-infused toasted rice ice cream.
